For further evidence that an investment bag is, well, worth the investment, we need look no further than Jennifer Lopez, strolling around West Hollywood in a sweatsuit and accessorizing her laid-back look with a Valentino bag. The Marry Me star was spotted grabbing lunch with her daughter, 13-year-old Emme Maribel Muñiz, on Dec. 22 at the San Vicente Bungalows, where paparazzi snapped her wearing a yellow sweatshirt and sweatpants with sneakers—and that eye-catching bag hanging at her waist.
Lopez paired the cozy leisurewear by White Fox with a Valentino Roman Stud bag in lime sorbet, celebrity-beloved Jennifer Fischer hoop earrings, New Balance x Staud sneakers, and oversized geometric sunglasses from Max Mara. All great accessories, but it’s the $3,150 bag that reminds passersby that, sure, Lopez might be as amenable to post-quarantine sweatpants as the rest of us, but that doesn’t mean she’s sacrificing the finer things in celebrity life.
The butter-colored sweatsuit is available for $59.99 per piece and labeled with the phrase, “Be grateful for the small things, big things, and everything in between.” Lopez is far from the first A-lister to sport the label’s versatile lounge and swimwear: Dua Lipa, Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi Hadid, Cardi B, and others have all been spotted in pieces from the brand.
This latest Lopez sighting comes amid reports that she’s planning to spend the holidays with beau Ben Affleck, whom she started dating earlier this year. A source told Entertainment Tonight in early December that “Ben is planning something special as a Christmas gift for Jennifer,” and that Lopez “has always loved Christmas and cannot wait to spend it with Ben.” Might Affleck gift her with another It bag? (Might we suggest a Bottega Jodie?) No matter how those holiday plans shake out, may Lopez always inspire us to accessorize.
