Grubhub releases annual food report detailing the main trends in 2021

Chicago, December 8, 2021/PRNewswire/ - The end of the year is near, but before we say goodbye to 2021, we will review how we eat and drink in another year of changes. Grubhub, the leading online and mobile food ordering and delivery market, today released the findings of its annual "Food of the Year" report. Grubhub analyzed the orders of more than 32 million diners to understand the rise in popularity throughout the year, while highlighting the generosity of Grubhub diners and how they can give back to communities and restaurants in need. In addition, diners will receive their personalized "Taste of 2021" review to learn about their favorite dishes, menu items and ordering habits throughout the year. 2020 is the year of comfort food, 2019 is full of vegetarian orders, and 2021 gives us both! Impossible cheeseburgers became famous in one fell swoop and their popularity increased by 442%, providing diners with a healthy version of the iconic staple food.
