Jefferson Classical Guitar Society will hold a concert at the Concert Hall of Southern Oregon University Ashland Campus on November 14 (Sunday) at 3 pm, hosted by renowned guitarist JiJi Kim. Low-cost pet vaccination: On Saturday, November 20th, make an appointment and get permission for your pet at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 South Pacific Highway, Phoenix. This drive-in, appointment-only clinic is open to dogs and cats, as well as puppies and kittens. Vaccinations available for dogs are rabies and canine distemper/small booster. Vaccinations available for cats are rabies and canine distemper/rhino/calicivirus boosters. No nail trimming. Pet owners must call the shelter before Friday, November 19 to make arrangements. The law requires that all dogs six months and older must be vaccinated against rabies and licensed. The cost of canine distemper/mini vaccination is US$15 per person; the cost of rabies vaccination is US$10 per person. License fees vary according to the dog’s neutral/neutered status and the duration of the selected license, with discounts available for veterans and seniors 62 years and older. This is a cash-only clinic. All pets must be in good health except for the license fee. Pets taking antibiotics, fever, or cortisone products cannot be vaccinated.
