Bakery Maya’s Bakes will be operating out of a pop-up in Findlay Market until the end of the year.

Starting Aug. 31, the woman-owned bakery will be located at 1811 Elm St. Owner Kemaya Molden will be serving up her sweat treats that she has been perfecting in her 20 years of baking experience at Findlay Market.

Maya’s Bakes is currently an outdoor market vendor and is part of Findlay Kitchen— a non-profit that focuses on supporting local food entrepreneurs.

“I’m so thankful that my mom blessed me with an Easy Bake Oven at the age of 6. I’m literally part flour! With over 20 years of experience, I know I’m made for this!” Molden said in a release.

Molden bakes delicious homestyle treats  that anyone can enjoy at the pop-up, as well as through DoorDash and local restaurants Embers and Trio Bistro.

The grand opening event will be held on Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. The event will have will have music, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a raffle for a bag stuffed with a Maya’s Bakes t-shirt, an ice cream scoop and an ice cream spoon.
