Cruise on down to Edwardsville this Saturday for the annual Kicks on 66 car show and cruise at On the Hill Golf Course and Lounge at 58 IL-157, Edwardsville. Check out some vintage and modern cars, trucks and motorcycles while enjoying live music and food and beverages available for purchase from American Legion Post #199 and food trucks.

The free event opens to the public at 11 a.m. and closes with a car cruise at 2 p.m. The car cruise will travel south down Route 66 (Highway 157).

A portion of the proceeds and donations this year will go towards Backstoppers and Partners 4 Pets.

10 a.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Registered yoga teacher Julie Hamilton will lead the class using modifications of many common yoga poses. Perfect for seniors and others with disabilities or challenges such as chronic illness, pain, or stiffness. Yoga mats not provided, but you may bring your own for added chair stability.

6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Whether you enjoy painting, fiber crafts, model building, or wood carving, you are welcome to join the library for Hobby Hour. Bring everything you need to work on your hobby and they'll provide the space and great company.

7 p.m. at the Edwardsville American Legion Post 199, 58 South State Rt. 157, Edwardsville. Features 21 games including Racehorse, Bonanza, Ed’s Lucky Number, Lightning Round and $500 Cover All. Food and drinks are available.

10 - 10:30 a.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Ages 0-2 years. They've got the books, bops and bubbles. Bring your babies and toddlers to share stories and songs with all of the library's Story Time friends.

Sierra Club Speakers Series “The Circular Economy”

6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Old Bakery Brewery in Alton at 400 Landmarks Blvd., Alton or online via ZOOM at https://bit.ly/4ovsnb. Dr. Jennifer Russell, Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech College of Natural Resources and Environment, works in the area of circular economy and sustainability, the flows of materials within economic consumption production systems and strategies for slowing and closing material loops. She will explain that many people are talking about 'the circular economy', but there's a lot more to it than just increasing recycling. 7 - 8:30 p.m. via Zoom. The Southern Illinois Parents of Addicted Loved Ones group meets each week to provide hope through education and support. 3 - 7:30 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Grades K-5. Drop in to the library afterschool to try out a self-led activity. Will it be an art project, a sensory activity or a puzzle? You'll have to visit the library to find out. 

10 - 10:30 a.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Ages 3-5 years. If you're ready for a story, clap your hands. The library will be sharing fun tales and tunes every week, and don't forget - bubbles.

4th Annual Edwardsville Book Festival

9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library in City Park. Join in for this family-friendly day of “book-ish” fun, including regional authors, new and used book sales, kids’ activities, live entertainment, crafts and food and drink. Don’t miss this great day out. 

11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 2082 South Moreland Road, Edwardsville. The Metro East Humane Society's Woofstock 2022 includes a special performance by Mike Sonderegger along with a dog park, food and beer, kids area, craft vendors, doggie demos, adoptable dogs and pony rides. 4 - 10 p.m. at Bethalto Central Park, 213 North Prairie Street, Bethalto. Amare’s annual music festival presented by Bickle Electric Contracting Co. will help raise awareness and celebrate individuals and families recovering from and impacted by substance use. The event is free to the public and is a family-friendly affair with Woodson BBQ and The Sweet Side food trucks, bounce houses provided by Gateway Bounce, face painting, resource and organization booths, vendor booths and live music. Bickle Electric VIP tickets can be purchased for $10 on the event’s Eventbrite page.

11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Edwardsville Moose Lodge at 7371 Marine Road, Rt. 143. Dinners are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Pokémon TCG Open Play

5 - 7:30 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Connect with fellow Pokémon TCG players during the library's new twice a month open play. This open play will be a welcoming space for trainers to learn, practice and battle for bragging rights.
