The controversial label starts with "Welcome to Isabelle's lunch box..." Would you dare?

Another day, another story about school lunch box outrage.

This time, it's from a fed-up dad.

From calorie counting to gluten-free, nut-free, and policies on allergies, the school lunch box has been politicised and become controversial for some time now.

But one dad on TikTok has had enough and made it clear in a note to teachers that he just wants his daughter to eat when she's at school.

On his TikTok page, dad @teddyevascents (who makes candles), shows us how he sent his daughter, Isabelle, to school with a note in her lunch box.

"Welcome to Isabelle's lunch box!" it reads.

"We are aware of the contents of this box and are happy for Isabelle to eat whatever she wants."

Seems straightforward enough, but in a follow-up video, the dad admits, "Nothing was said about the label."

Isabelle had told her dad that she wasn't allowed to eat her sweets until she'd had her carrots, which she didn't want as they had fallen on the floor; in clear defiance of the note.

Her lunch included a sandwich, carrots, rainbow drop lollies, an apple, a packet of chips, a pear and a chocolate egg. Her dad explained that she ate her sandwich and a few bites of her apple, but didn't touch the rest of the food in her lunch box.

"What do you want her to do?" he asked in frustration.

He also noted the irony that her sandwich "contained more sugar than the rainbow drops."

He added, "Of course, she got in the car and was immediately hungry."

The dad has now said he will be talking to the school directly to sort out the issue. But we still love that he tried to get his daughter fed with the lunch box note.

The video, which has been liked 65,000 times, also has a full comments section, which is mostly supportive of the dad.

"This literally winds me up so much! Kids have minds of their own and can choose what they want to eat! You obviously approved everything in there!" one viewer wrote.

Another added, "I was shocked when this started happening at my son's daycare. It infuriates me. I PACKED IT. And what if that food is all we got from the food bank?"

It was clear many were equally frustrated.

"Sick of schools being able to dictate what kids eat! Do they check all the teachers' bags to make sure they’re not bringing in junk?" one cheekily asked.

Another jokingly added, "I would reword the sticker to say 'child is allowed to eat her food in whichever order she chooses. Any issues are to be brought up with the parents'."

But it's this comment we wholeheartedly agree with:

"This is indirectly Jamie Oliver's fault and I will never forgive him for it."

Yeah, thanks for this entire situation, Jamie's bloody School Dinners.
